Burglary Crime Prevention

Burglary Crime Prevention

As the evenings get darker and winter approaches, now is a good time to think about home security.

Before heading out, make sure your doors and windows are locked, even if you're only leaving for a short time.

Use timer switches on lights to give the impression that somebody is home and consider leaving a radio on when you're out.

Keep keys, handbags and valuables out of sight and away from doors, letterboxes and windows.

Remember to lock vehicles, remove valuables and never leave keys inside.

Look out for your neighbours and report any suspicious activity to police. If a crime is in progress, always call 999. For non-emergencies, report via 101 or online.

Together, we can help keep our communities safe this winter.
